On September 25, 2015, the 70th session of the United Nations General Assembly at the United Nations Headquarters, New York City, USA issued a Sustainable Development Goals – SDGs, establishing four dimensions of sustainable development: Environment, Social, Economic and Management, covering 17 goals as follows

The Little Scientists’ House Thailand has set the scope for Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) by linking and applying the United Nations sustainable development dimension to suit early childhood. It is adapted into the Sustainable Development Triangle comprising three aspects. Each area is related and must be balanced, including society, economy, and environment or ecosystem.
Key concept of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) has changed from the traditional education management that is human as a learning center (Human Center) which emphasizes the development of children to be smart and capable to encourage and develop children to consider that the earth is at the center (Earth Center) of the development of things that are interdependent. Learners become aware (Realize) in various issues about the world leading to action (Act) to deal with the problem and empower (Empowerment) for students to solve the problems. Many times, the learners are aware of problems such as pollution and climate change, but do not take action or do not know how to take action. Therefore, the approach to learning management will focus on taking action (Action) in order to deal with life problems. This will help students to truly participate in sustainable development.
The concept of promoting and developing children in accordance with the Educational Guidelines for Sustainable Development requires a mechanics that mobilizes all parties in education. School administrators who play a role in setting a framework for sustainable action should manage and define teaching processes, ideas and strategies in accordance with the educational goals of sustainable development.
One of the most important things is the development of teacher qualifications which is reflected in practiced values. The teacher will act both as a facilitator in the learning of children and a role model. Teachers should develop an understanding of the goals and management of teaching and learning in accordance with the educational approach for sustainable development as well as being a role model for children.
